Better Food, Better Future</p><p>Join our team as a Warehouse Order Picker today</p><p>Position: Warehouse Order Picker (Full Time)</p><p>Shift/Schedule: Sunday to Thursday Afternoons 3:00 pm- 12:15 am</p><p>Location: 8755 Keele Street, Concord, ON (close to Keele & Langstaff)</p><p>Start Date: Immediate</p><p>Language Requirements: English</p><p>Why work for us?</p><ul><li>UNFI was declared an essential service in response to COVID-19.</li><li>We offer full time positions</li><li>Hourly rate of $19.99 to start cent shift premium = $20.69/hour</li><li>Order Picker bonus: earn up to $200 MORE per week just by picking more</li><li>Wage increases every 6 months</li><li>Overtime available</li><li>Shift premiums offered</li><li>Comprehensive Health & Dental Benefits Plan</li><li>Pension Plan offered after 1 year of service</li><li>Employee Discount program on organic foods</li></ul><p>Job Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Pick customer orders in a warehouse environment and complete picking in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.</li><li>Operate a Walkie Rider/Electric Pallet Jack to pick, secure, and load orders.</li><li>Build stable and well-secured pallets.</li><li>Label pallets and number the pallets correctly to ensure proper put-away or delivery.</li><li>Place each completed pallets into freezer, loading area and/or truck as required.</li><li>Assist safely with loading trucks.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse by sweeping, removing trash as needed.</li><li>Sort, sticker and repack individual pieces appropriately.</li><li>Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; wear appropriate PPE.</li><li>Perform all duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.</li><li>Performs all other job duties as required.</li></ul><p>Qualifications<br>Education/Certification:</p><ul><li>Pallet Jack/Walkie Rider certification considered an asset.</li></ul><p>Experience (required And/or Preferred)</p><ul><li>At least one (1) year previous experience in a warehouse environment.</li><li>Able to stand and work on feet for extended periods of time in a cool, damp environment.</li><li>Certified to operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jack/walkie rider.</li><li>Able to read and correctly interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li><li>High regard for safety.</li><li>Able to safely operate pallet jacks/walkie rider.</li></ul><p>Additional Requirements</p><ul><li>Steel-toed shoes required</li></ul><p>As a condition of employment, this position is subject to the successful completion of the following pre-employment conditions:</p><ul><li>Criminal Background Check</li><li>Employment Reference Check</li></ul><p>We thank all applicants for their interest, only those selected will be contacted for an interview.</p><p>We do not accept assistance from third party staffing agencies or firms.</p>
