Overview
The Warehouse Manager oversees the branch warehouse operational functions related to shipping, delivery, receiving, inventory control, product transfer, merchandising, and merchandise will call. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of product at all times.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong customer service and positive relationships with customers, branches, and employees.
- Work collaboratively with other Warehouse Supervisors/Leads to enhance operational performance.
- Monitor warehouse operations to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Audit warehouse performance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct and/or ensure daily safety inspections are completed, and action items are resolved.
- Review reports to ensure accurate order picking and zero shipment errors.
- Provide daily direction to the warehouse team.
- Supervise, develop, and coach employees to enhance performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings to align priorities and expectations.
- Ensure staff complete all assigned training modules.
- Enforce company policies fairly and consistently to maintain a positive work environment.
- Ensure staff receive proper training to maximize effectiveness.
- Address employee questions, concerns, and performance gaps with improvement plans.
- Conduct probationary and annual performance reviews.
- Handle employee-related issues confidentially and efficiently.
- Schedule staff to always ensure proper coverage.
- Assign and prioritize work duties effectively.
- Track payroll details, including overtime and absences, and submit to appropriate personnel.
Safety
- Performs as the top safety advocate for the branch.
- Ensures safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Review all inspection forms and communicates any issues.
- Suggests operational improvements related to safety.
- Immediately corrects unsafe conditions in the warehouse.
- Immediately reports safety accidents, injuries, and incidence. Assists with the collection of safety data for accurate report completion.
Other
- Safety Sensitive Position: the ability to perform job functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Maintains proficiency with company computer systems in aspects related to job, such as data entry, messaging, call logs, data notations, queue updates, batching, or other job & office functions and requirements.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent
- 5 or more years’ experience with warehousing, supply chain, and related functions.
- 3 or more years of supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge and execution of a quality system (ISO preferred), LEAN, and Six Sigma principals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficient in using office technology, including computers, photocopiers, scanners, phone systems, and virtual meeting platforms, as required for daily responsibilities.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- This position may require up to 40–43 hours per week and involves regular physical activity.
- Frequent lifting of 25–50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Operating forklifts and material handling equipment for up to 6 hours daily.
- Regular bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
- Pushing/pulling objects up to 300 lbs. occasionally.
- Prolonged use of hands, arms, and feet for equipment operation.
- Periods of sitting, standing, walking, and twisting throughout the shift.
- Visual requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and focus adjustment.
