Reporting to the IT Squad Service Manager, the IT Technician plays a key role in ensuring the stability and quality of delivered services by advising and supporting colleagues in analyzing and resolving issues, leveraging a broad understanding of EBC's business domains.

More specifically, the responsibilities include:

  • Provide full IT support (Helpdesk and Infrastructure) for a site with approximately 100 users.
  • Participate in a project lasting about 4 years.
  • Coordinate and ensure that services are delivered professionally and in a friendly manner, while maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Act as a resource for technical support to site users and business partners.
  • Diagnose, analyze, document, investigate, and/or resolve issues independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills (Workstations, Printers, Network Infrastructure).
  • Manage inventory and produce inventory reports as needed.
  • Contribute to optimizing operational processes and support continuous improvement of IT services for EBC construction sites and operations.
  • Actively research new partners to improve operational reach for remote sites.
  • Serve as a technology advisor to implement new solutions that enhance site infrastructure.
  • Perform any other related tasks.


The position requires the candidate to obtain a government security clearance in order to maintain employment.

  • Must have resided in Canada for at least 10 years or hold Canadian permanent resident status.
  • No criminal record.
  • No history of bankruptcy.

Advanced technical skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including:
    • Microsoft 365 (Azure, Entra ID, etc.)
    • Active Directory (on-premises environment)
  • Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto products.
  • Strong technical expertise with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Mastery of the Office 365 environment (Microsoft AD, Microsoft Azure & Intune).
  • Expertise in network environments (Unifi products).
