Senior Partnerships Manager
Job Description
My client started in 2024 with one scrappy conference in Toronto. Last year they expanded to two conferences. Fast forward to 2026, and they are now throwing 5 events across three continents and launching a membership program. They are hosting events ranging from a 50-person retreat to a flagship conference in Toronto with over 2000 brands. They are a small, hungry team (6 full-time) trying to build something real. Events that people actually want to attend. Resources that generate real business growth.
The company has expanded, the team has expanded, and now they are looking for a Senior Partnerships Manager to come in and manage the partnerships side of our business model.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an ambitious go-getter who can learn our vision and value and own our partnerships from first call to closing deals. You'll be the face of the company to brands, agencies, and platforms who want to sponsor our events. You're hunting, closing, and building relationships that actually matter. We expect to close over 1M in partnership sales in 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full partnership cycle:
Source leads, pitch, and close deals that hit revenue targets - Oversee cold outreach:
Work with our sales platforms to segment outreach - Build relationships:
Understand what our partners need, show them why these events deliver ROI, and turn one-time sponsors into multi-year advocates - Stay ruthlessly organized:
Keep our CRM clean, prep thoroughly for every call, and follow up like a pro (no balls dropped here) - Collaborate and strategize:
You'll work closely with our small team to align on partnership packages, pricing, and how we deliver value to sponsors - Travel to events:
Represent the company on-site at our conferences (Toronto, Singapore, LA, Australia)
Qualifications:
- Have 3-4 years actually closing deals in events, sponsorships, or B2B sales (bonus points for working in the eCommerce/DTC space)
- You've consistently hit or crushed revenue targets, closing over 500K in 1 calendar year
- A natural relationship builder who can talk to CMOs and startup founders with equal ease
- A natural leader who can manage a small team of sales reps
- Thrive in scrappy environments where you wear multiple hats and figure things out
- Get energized by travel, fast-paced work, and being part of something growing quickly
Your First 90 Days:
Month 1:
Trained on our partnership packages, review calls, shadow calls, build your pipeline of 40+ qualified leads (10 leads per conference). Close 2 remaining retreat deals (pipeline already there).
Month 2:
Close your next $100K+ in partnerships for any combination of events.
Month 3:
Own the full partnership strategy for our LA (Sept) and Toronto (Oct) events, hit quarterly revenue target of $250K+
Compensation
$75,000-$90,000 base
up to
$150,000 OTE
The Reality:
Our average partnership ranges from $10K-$35K. You're not making 100 cold calls a day for $2K deals. You're building relationships over time and closing fewer, bigger partnerships. We project to hit between 1 & 1.8M in partner revenue.
Is $1M a realistic target?
Absolutely. We have 70+ partnership opportunities across 5 global events, existing inbound interest worth $300K+ coming off a very successful 2025. You're closing deals to an experience we have delivered on, not creating demand from scratch.
