About The OpportunityOur client is a private organization with significant holdings across real estate, housing, and operating businesses including telecommunications.
Reporting directly to ownership, this part time VP Finance role is designed for a highly experienced CPA to provide senior-level financial oversight, audit coordination, and tax leadership.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Overseeing and reviewing financial statements across multiple legal entities
Managing consolidations, joint ventures, and complex ownership structures
Coordinating annual audits across the group
Managing corporate tax, HST, and CRA matters
Providing guidance on tax planning and entity structuring
Acting as the primary financial liaison with external public accounting firms
Monitoring intercompany transactions and cash flow
Providing financial insight and advisory support to ownership and partners
Maintaining appropriate internal controls to safeguard assets
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
CPA designation
10+ years of progressive, senior-level experience in accounting and finance
Strong background in audit and tax
Experience working with complex entity structures, including joint ventures and consolidations
Exposure to real estate, property management, or asset-heavy businesses
Experience working directly with entrepreneurs, owners, or family-office environments
Strong professional judgment, discretion, and comfort operating independently
About the Job
Employment Type: Permanent
Work Arrangement: On-site downtown Toronto, Hybrid flexibility will be considered
Compensation: $160,000 to $200,000 per year, depending on experience
Part-time: 3 days per week, flexible
