Job Description:

Our client is a publicly traded, leading Canadian pharma company listed on the TSX and NASDAQ. We are seeking a Senior Manager Financial Reporting to oversee the Company’s consolidated financial reporting, technical accounting, and tax compliance functions.


This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of external financial reporting under IFRS, managing relationships with external auditors, and supporting executive management through timely, high-quality insights. This is a strategic and hands-on role for an experienced CPA who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth, regulated environment.


Duties of the Senior Manager Financial Reporting is as follows but not limited to:


Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting


  • Lead the preparation and timely filing of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, MD&A, and related disclosures in accordance with IFRS and regulatory guidelines.

  • Manage quarterly review and year-end audit processes, acting as the key liaison with external auditors.

  • Draft and review complex accounting memos (e.g., M&A, derivatives, equity instruments, share-based payments, leases, and revenue recognition).

  • Support continuous enhancements in disclosure quality, MD&A analytics, and alignment with investor expectations.

  • Ensure effective internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with SOX requirements.

    Job Requirements:

  • CPA designation required; public accounting firm experience (Big 4 or mid-tier) strongly preferred.

  • 7–10+ years of progressive financial reporting experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Deep understanding of IFRS and complex accounting areas (derivatives, consolidation, impairment, leases, and equity instruments).

  • Experience in public company reporting (TSX/NASDAQ preferred) and with SEDAR+/EDGAR filings, required.
