Senior Finance Manager

Job Description

Is your experience primarily in the pharma industry? If so, this may be a great fit as our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance.

The Senior Finance Manager will manage/ support finance & accounting activities (e.g., month end close process), to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and procedures, along with providing relevant commentary. This includes:

• Contribute to the annual business plan and the development of budget presentations for review by senior management.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of key processes.
• Provide planning and forecasting financial support for cost center leaders.
• Coordinate and support activities with business partners and other areas of finance.
• Support the month end close process for cost centers including accounting entries, account analysis and executive commentary.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts and support finance team with other monthly closing activities and quarterly reconciliations.
• Support relevant Finance teams with financial planning, ad hoc analysis and reporting processes for all P&L lines.
• Provide detailed and consolidated level variance explanations of actual performance against prior period, business plan/forecast.
• Assist with the month end close process for cost centers including accounting entries, account analysis and executive commentary.
• Respond to finance inquiries from other departments and provide relevant data, as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• CPA designation.
• 10+ years of equivalent experience ideally in a manufacturing environment and/or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Self-motivation and ability to relate and work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and take ownership of projects, performing job requirements with minimal oversight and high attention to detail.
• SAP experience preferred.
