Summary
We are a striving trucking company in Mississauga, ON that specializes in haulage of construction related material and floating all over the GTA. We are seeking a Volunteer Business Development Representative to join our team. This role is essential in driving company growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence through digital marketing channels (social media, email, etc.) The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to effectively promote our services. This position offers an engaging environment for students/recent graduates in business, sales, marketing, and project management programs looking to gain valuable professional experience.
Duties
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking.
- Draft, edit and upload content on social media channels for business promotion
- Make professional cold calls to potential clientele to advertise our services to companies within the trucking and haulage industry.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring tasks are completed by the deadlines given.
- Coordinate and collaborate with our administrative assistant to manage projects.
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old
- A student or recent graduate in college or university level sales, marketing, communications, business or related fields who is looking to gain quality career experience.
- Must have at least one (1) year of customer service experience.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check - within the last six (6) months.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferably fluent in English)
- An intermediate understanding of how to perform professional cold calls and manage digital marketing channels (emails, social media, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and complete tasks by deadline
