<p>Job Overview:</p><p>The Retail Team is responsible for helping support the the daily operations of the Mercantile portion of Metropolis. This role involves day to day operational organization, inventory (retail and supplies) ensuring excellent customer service and maximizing sales opportunities. This role works closely with the Retail Supervisor, Managers and Owner.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>Customer Service:</p><p>Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and helpful manner. Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints effectively and resolve issues to their satisfaction. Monitor service levels throughout the store and take proactive steps to improve customer experience. Monitor and manage the customer order and inquiries. Check store email & voicemails.</p><p>Sales and Merchandising:</p><p>Help merchandise displays and ensure they are visually appealing and well-organized to maximize sales opportunities. Focus on engaging with customers, giving them help with product knowledge.</p><p>Manage The Cabin mercantile - cleaning the shelving and maintaining displays and inventory.</p><p>Ensure dried flower bouquets and general display are full.</p><p>Assist with the on-line sales platform & social media at times</p><p>Inventory;</p><p>Accurately enter in inventory records and conduct regular stock checks to prevent overstocking or stockouts.</p><p>Coordinate with the Retail Supervisor and procurement team to replenish inventory in a timely manner and optimize stock levels.</p><p>Assist in inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage and loss</p><p>Operational Efficiency:</p><p>Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Help identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.</p><p>General Facility</p><p>General cleaning involves keeping an eye on retail area as a whole for a clean and tidy environment. This includes the washrooms located on the lower level. Includes but not limited dusting, decluttering, glass cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping as needed, sanitization of surfaces, emptying trash and filling soaps and sanitizers plus paper products as needed.</p><p>Help Order supplies as needed as well for cleaning and retail area.<br><br>- Cleaning and paper products ordering and putting away<br><br>- Bags, Tissues, Cards, gift boxes, till rolls, retail supplies etc.</p><p>Our retail associates help support bussing our cafe and with dishes, cleaning of washrooms is part of our teams responsibilities</p><p>Job Type: Part-time</p><p>Pay: $17.60-$18.50 per hour</p><p>Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Discounted or free food</li><li>On-site parking</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Store discount</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
