Location: Calgary, AB
Department: Casino Operations – Slot Operations


Position Summary:

The Regional Slots Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, financial performance, and operational excellence of slot operations across multiple casino properties within an assigned region. This role ensures consistent execution of company standards, regulatory compliance, revenue optimization, and guest satisfaction while leading and developing property-level slot management teams.


Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

  • Provide oversight and direction for slot operations across multiple casino properties

  • Ensure consistency in slot floor standards, guest service, and operational procedures

  • Partner with property-level Slots Managers to achieve operational goals

  • Conduct regular property visits, audits, and performance reviews

Financial Performance & Strategy:

  • Drive slot revenue growth through strategic planning, analytics, and performance optimization

  • Develop and manage regional budgets and forecasts

  • Analyze key performance indicators

  • Optimize slot mix, game placement, denominations, and progressive strategies

Slot Floor & Product Management:

  • Oversee slot floor design, layout, and reconfigurations across the region

  • Evaluate and implement new slot products, systems, and technologies

  • Manage relationships with slot vendors and manufacturers

  • Coordinate slot procurement, installations, conversions, and removals

Compliance & Controls:

  • Ensure all slot operations comply with gaming regulations, internal controls, and company policies

  • Oversee adherence to slot accounting, machine integrity, and security procedures

  • Partner with Compliance, Internal Audit, and Surveillance teams as required

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop regional and property-level slot management teams

  • Support hiring, training, succession planning, and performance management

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Guest Experience & Marketing Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Player Development teams to support promotions, events, and loyalty programs

  • Ensure slot floors deliver an engaging, high-quality guest experience

  • Address escalated guest concerns related to slot operations

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in casino slot operations

  • Prior multi-property or regional management experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of slot analytics, revenue optimization, and performance metrics

  • In-depth knowledge of slot systems and gaming regulations

  • Proven leadership and team development skills

  • Excellent financial, analytical, and strategic planning abilities

  • Strong communication and vendor negotiation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and slot performance reporting tools

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region (inter provincial Alberta)

  • Must meet all jurisdictional licensing and background check requirements

  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced casino and office environments

  • Frequent travel between casino properties

  • Requires standing, walking, and extended periods on casino floors
