Project Manager – HR Technology (Mandarin & English)



Strategic opportunity for an experienced project manager in the insurance industry to lead complex HR IT initiatives across Asia and North America. This hybrid role requires bilingual English and Mandarin fluency, evening availability, and expertise in AI tools, Agile methodologies, and cross-functional team leadership.



What is in it for you:




• Salaried: $70-74 per hour.


• Incorporated Business Rate: $80-88 per hour.


• 10-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.


• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.


• Hybrid schedule with evening collaboration (3 times weekly, 8–10 pm. EST).



Responsibilities:




• Deliver strategic business and technical projects from initiation through implementation.


• Lead cross-functional teams across geographies, ensuring stakeholder alignment and accountability.


• Manage scope, timelines, and budgets while balancing risk and opportunity.


• Communicate project progress clearly and regularly to sponsors, executives, and team members.


• Oversee resource allocation and drive operational efficiencies through process automation.


• Leverage both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to execute and monitor project delivery.


• Foster collaboration, provide mentorship, and drive high-performance team culture.


• Contribute to a continuous improvement mindset by capturing and sharing lessons learned.


• Support the adoption of new technologies, including AI and data tools, across distributed teams.


• Actively mitigate risks and address project dependencies to ensure business objectives are achieved.



What you will need to succeed:




• Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, human resources, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in project management, organizational strategy, and digital transformation.


• PMP or equivalent project management certification is an asset.


• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in HR IT or employee experience domains


• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to coordinate with stakeholders and project teams across North America and Asia, ensuring accurate communication, documentation, and collaboration in both languages.


• Proven experience managing cross-functional projects in matrixed, global environments.


• Familiarity with AI tools and their application in HR or digital transformation projects.


• Proficiency with Smartsheet, Jira, and Workday platforms is preferred.


• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and communicate across technical and business audiences.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills.


• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading through transformation.
