We are looking for a dynamic Project Estimator to join our team to leverage growth opportunities within our Bray Canada, Commercial Division.

Position Summary:

As Project Estimator, you will utilize your technical expertise and estimating acumen to drive sales growth by leading key projects, performing detailed valve take-offs and engineering reviews, and offering strategic technical recommendations to the Bray Canada sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project designs (plans/specifications), in collaboration with the sales team, to define project objectives and deliver accurate project estimates.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify requirements and ensure project success.
  • Create project quotations based on customer specifications and maintain records using CRM software (MSD365).
  • Assist with the development of customized "value-engineered" solutions for our OEM customers by applying knowledge of their specific applications, Bray's wide range of products, and through collaboration with Bray Commercial Product Management and the Data Centre core team, to deliver cost-effective, unique, and competitive solutions.
  • Create and manage project schedules, monitor progress, and prepare status reports, analyzing trends and resolving issues to ensure timely delivery and suggest corrective actions as needed.
  • Be a trusted technical advisor to the team by maintaining a thorough understanding of existing product lines and providing support for the launch of future product lines.
  • As a subject matter expert, assist the sales team to address customer needs by educating clients on Bray Commercial's product offerings, providing technical support, and conducting product presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
    or
    3+ years of relevant experience in the Commercial HVAC and/or data center industries
  • Experience in controls contracting with a comprehensive knowledge of building automation and DDC products and/or control valve and actuator knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications
  • Able to work with multi-discipline projects with a timely turnaround process
  • Familiarity with manufacturing methods and procedures
  • Project management, process improvement and documentation skills are an asset
  • Strong organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A personable, approachable attitude with effective presentation skills and a collaborative approach to working with others
  • Technical aptitude and comfort with minimal administrative support
  • Attention to detail, conscientious, self-motivated and disciplined

Additional Information:

  • Travel required: 25%
  • Must have suitable home office space
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM (MSD365)
  • Valid Driver's License and personal automobile for business use.
