Roska DBO Inc. is currently seeking a Piping Designer to work out of our customer’s downtown Calgary office. The Piping Designer will be responsible for developing detailed designs for heavy industrial water piping systems, supporting all project phases from design through to construction and handover. This is a 12–18 month minimum term role, (Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day).


Key Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of piping design experience
  • Experience with heavy industrial water systems, including supported and underground piping
  • Proficient in Smart 3D (S3D) for piping design and 3D modeling
  • Familiarity with piping codes, standards, and best practices
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams


Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed piping layouts, isometrics, and material specifications using S3D
  • Ensure piping designs are constructible in the field with minimal changes
  • Collaborate with engineers, operations, and project teams to meet design criteria, constructability, and operational requirements
  • Support cost estimate and project schedule development and ensure adherence to approved budgets and timelines
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, operability, efficiency, and maintainability standards
  • Support formal change management procedures when design modifications are required


Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Piping Design, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant piping design experience
  • Proficient in Smart 3D (S3D)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
