Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises and homeowners. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, patrolling designated areas, and responding promptly to incidents. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and preventing theft, loss or damage. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is preferred.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or breaches
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials of visitors, employees and homeowners.
- Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious activity and intervening when appropriate
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or misconduct
Qualifications
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is highly desirable
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly to incidents
- Must pass background checks and adhere to company policies regarding safety and confidentiality
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
