Your Role and Responsibilities
- System Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade SAP systems based on business requirements. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing system upgrades, and ensuring optimal performance and stability post‑implementation.
- Database Administration: Manage the HANA database, including backup and recovery procedures, database performance tuning, and space administration.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain system security measures. This includes user administration, authorization management, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide first‑line and second‑line support for SAP systems. This involves troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing permanent solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor system performance and conduct periodic health checks. Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to ensure smooth operation.
- Project Support: Contribute to SAP implementation, enhancement, and upgrade projects. This might involve working alongside consultants, business analysts, and other IT staff.
- Documentation: Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation related to system administration, processes, and procedures.
- Training and Mentoring: Share knowledge and expertise with junior team members, providing training and guidance where needed.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with SAP and hardware vendors as necessary, ensuring all vendor contracts are managed effectively.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest SAP Basis and HANA technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
