Home Instead is hiring Overnight Care Givers!
Don’t have experience? We provide paid, extensive training to all of our Care Givers!
Our Care Givers care for the health and well-being of seniors who need help with daily tasks and activities. Your aging loved one may need a Care Giver because of an injury, mobility or memory issues, illnesses, or chronic conditions making everyday chores more challenging.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
- Remind clients to take prescribed medication
- Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Assist with personal care and hygiene
- Plan and prepare meals
- Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting clients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications:
- Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver’s license - please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement
- Great written and verbal communication skills, in English
- Consistent, non-flexible availability 8PM-8AM
- Clear criminal background check
- Residence in Calgary, Alberta, or surrounding areas
