Job Description

Operations Manager

Company: Search & Social Inc.

Location: Calgary / Remote

Position: Full-Time (9–5)

About Us

Search & Social makes things happen, approaching everything with an open mind and a confident stride. We embody the certainty of knowing we’ve got this, no matter what “this” is. Leave it with us and we’ll get it done.

There’s a bit of grit, rounded out with quiet confidence, that inspires trust and follow-through. To get it done is to take initiative, solve what needs solving, and keep things moving until we land on the right outcome—for everyone involved.

Our Culture

Search & Social is a playground for talented, approachable people unafraid to be their unique selves. We’re a crew of sharp, self-driven, nimble, and quick-witted individuals who are wildly creative. Our team crushes tasks with the satisfying fizz and zing of a freshly poured Moscow Mule—each effort sparkling with sharp precision, a twist of fresh lime, and just the right kick of ginger spice. Smooth, refreshing, and always with that unmistakable pop of flavour, our work ages like top-shelf ingredients and lands with the confidence of a cold copper mug sliding across the bar.

We thrive on that perfect balance of cool confidence and bold flavour—working hard, owning our mistakes, and pushing boundaries without ever losing our edge. It’s the kind of culture where skill meets purpose, and every win feels like a team victory. Simply put: we work with intention, we back each other up, and we own it with a quiet confidence that says: I’ve got this on lock.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re hiring an Operations Manager to step in, as our current Ops heads into maternity leave — but this isn’t a short-term cover. We’re looking for someone who can step into the role now and stay on for the long haul, growing with the team and the position.

You see the details without losing sight of the big picture. Give you a messy project, and you’ll turn it into a clear plan with space for creativity to breathe. You thrive on structure but never at the expense of fresh ideas. You set the pace, lead by example, and keep things moving with a steady hand. Style matters to you — not just in what you wear, but in how you carry yourself and how your personal brand shows up in the work. You’re not shy about being in front of the camera from time to time, because you know your presence counts. You live in Calgary, have hobbies that keep life interesting, and know how to tell a story people remember. You enjoy good banter - over a cocktail, an iced matcha(or coffee) - and friends would call you fun, organized, and HYPER detailed; the one who makes it all look effortless.

The ideal start date is October 15, with training alongside our current Operations Manager until January to set you up for success.

What You’ll Do

Operations & Project Management

Own the day-to-day workflow so nothing slips through.

Act as one of the first points of contact for the company, ensuring our team, clients and partners feel supported right away.

Manage the company and projects queue to keep priorities clear and moving.

Build and maintain workback schedules for both:

Monthly deliverables like blogs, email marketing, social posts, SEO tasks, and reporting.

Project-based work like branding packages, website builds, and campaign launches.

Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings, on-sites, and presentations.

Manage platforms like Slack, Notion, Asana, and Google Drive to keep communication, file organization, and project management tight.

Keep client-facing documents polished and on-brand.

Build and refine processes where applicable, creating structure that scales with the team.

Client & Team Oversight

Act as a steady point of contact for clients.

Give the team direction, support, and what they need to do their best work.

Uphold our communication standards inside and outside the agency.

Foster a culture where people are confident, supported, and collaborative.

Executive Support

Support leadership with client meetings, initiatives, and operational needs.

Additional Responsibility – Financial Support

Comfortable assisting with light bookkeeping and accounting when needed (we use Wave).

Sales Support

Jump in on proposals or client conversations when an extra set of hands helps.

What You Bring

You thrive on structure, providing clarity and keeping teams on track.
