What You'll Do
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will support the U.S. and Canada businesses by coordinating, executing and optimizing tasks across brand, product, shopper/retail, digital marketing, sales enablement and insights/analytics.
This is an entry level role with mission critical impact, you'll partner across teams, influence outcomes, and build skills that move your career forward. The Marketing Coordinator will have opportunities to learn key fundamentals in:
- Product and Project Management — learning nuances, balancing priorities and delivering timelines so things run smoothly
- Effective Collaboration — partner with internal cross-functional teams and external agencies/partners to bring ideas to life
- Process Optimization — build and improve the way we get things done (from start to finish) with active coaching and feedback
- Insights & Reporting — support in analyzing performance, category/market trends, etc. to help shape smart, data-driven decisions and learnings
- Financial Acumen — gain foundational experience in budget planning and P&L management
Responsibilities include
- Help deliver annual marketing and innovation plans; providing administrative coordination and support as needed
- Ensure activation calendars and project timelines are up to date to provide clarity between cross-functional teams
- Assist with invoice processing and budget maintenance, ensuring timely payout and reporting with Finance
- Partner with sales on managing the events & experiential calendar, including trade shows, events, tabletops, etc.
- Create and update sales enablement materials supporting NPI launches, customer meetings, etc. in partnership with sales
- Update internal and external presentations, onboarding materials, guidelines and resources with brand, product and customer updates
- Manage shipping and sample requests from internal cross-functional teams and external agencies/partners for various projects
- Aid in brand building, content and creative tasks as needed (including drafting briefs/copy, coordinating schedules, shipping samples, contract execution, etc.)
- Assist in ongoing reporting needs and tasks for consumer data analysis, marketing performance dashboards, competitor analysis, trend reports, etc.
- Attend meetings on behalf of the Director of Marketing when needed and relay key information and action items back to the team
Other Duties & Tasks
- Participates in and leads special projects and assignments as required
- Participates in all other miscellaneous and departmental tasks as required
- Attends departmental/cross-functional meetings
- Travel and overnights as needed (ex. tradeshows, conferences, retailer meetings, etc.)
What You'll Bring to SimplyProtein
You have…
- An undergraduate degree; Bachelor's in related study (Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Product Development, Sales, Psychology, Research/Analytics)
or
Academic coursework and/or projects demonstrating strong organizational, analytical and creative skills - A high proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook); proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel is essential to perform this role
- Effective written, verbal and presentation communication
- Proficiency with numbers, with an ability to turn data into actionable insights
- An ability to identify and prioritize daily demands and are highly organized
- A level of comfort asking for help to ensure clarity (we feel the only bad question is the one not asked)
- A high level of accountability and able to hold self and others accountable to meet commitments
- An analytical mindset with basic understanding of how data applies to marketing and business planning and decisions
- A passion to deliver results and think strategically
- Some project management execution considered an asset
- Analytical experience and/or experience with consumer data considered an asset
- Exposure to project coordination, consumer data, or marketing tools is a plus but not required
