As a Light Duty Wrecker Operator at City Wide Towing, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional towing and recovery services to our clients. This position requires a commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and the ability to operate various towing equipment effectively. Responsibilities:
Operate towing vehicles safely and efficiently to recover vehicles as needed.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients during their time of need.
Perform routine maintenance checks on towing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding job status and updates.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while on the job site.
Assist with minor automotive repairs when necessary.
Use and manage E-Logs.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Class 5 Driver's License
Proven experience in customer service roles, preferably in the automotive or towing industry.
Strong knowledge of Calgary and area
Excellent verbal and written communication
Able to maintain records and provide reports
Recent criminal record check (employer-paid)
Recent driver's abstract (employee-paid)
Must pass drug, alcohol, and fit-to-work test
Able to work independently and with a team
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
Air brakes certification is an asset (Q Endorsement)
Towing experience (training provided for the right candidate)
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Perform moderate to heavy tasks for long periods of time
Work primarily outdoors in all weather
Lift/push/pull up to 100lbs regularly
Travel may include local, provincial, and inter-provincial routes
May assist at accident scenes with emergency personnel
