Job Summary

Under supervision of the Asset Planning Technologist this position identifies, evaluates, measures and records various distresses related to road, sidewalk, curb and paved lane infrastructure networks.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs condition rating by identifying, evaluating, measuring and recording various distresses in accordance with defined methodologies for road, sidewalk, curb and paved lane networks.
  • Performs work in accordance with Corporate safety policies and procedures as well as Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Performs traffic control on higher volume roads, as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience Requirements

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary certificate program in a related field OR a grade 12 education with a minimum of 10 months' directly related work experience.
  • Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers Licence.
  • Current driver's abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Knowledge of asset condition rating methodology, including distress recognition, measurement and recording details.
  • Ability to operate and maintain a tablet in a field environment.
  • Skill in the use of at least one of the following programs; ArcMap or ArcPad.
  • Ability to perform accurate worksheet calculations.
  • Ability to work productively with minimal supervision individually as well as within a group.
  • Ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public and co-workers.
  • Ability to provide a positive and ambitious approach for a healthy team environment.
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned duties.

Weekly Hours: 40

Salary Range: $24.13 to $26.60 CAD per hour (2026 rates)
