Our core values of professionalism, communication, knowledge, empowerment, transparency, and care guide everything we do</p><p>Job Description:</p><p>As a Mortgage Associate, you will be crucial in supporting a high-performing mortgage broker by managing client communications, processing mortgage applications, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational & and communication skills will contribute to the smooth operation of our mortgage experience.</p><p>Application Review + Clean Up:</p><ul><li>Utilize Mortgage Origination Systems and other relevant tools to streamline and enhance the application cleanup process.</li><li>Conduct a thorough review of initial documentation provided by applicants, utilizing a solid foundation in document review, income requirements, and credit bureau review.</li><li>Identify and rectify any discrepancies or missing information promptly to ensure accurate and complete applications.</li><li>Review and verify the applicant's income, assets, credit history, and properties owned as an integral part of the fulfillment process, contributing to the accuracy and completeness of mortgage applications.</li></ul><p>Check-Ins Throughout the Process:</p><ul><li>Conduct regular check-ins with clients to provide updates on the status of their mortgage applications and to address any concerns or questions.</li><li>Utilize as our platform for client stage updates and deal flow management, ensuring accurate and timely information is communicated to clients.</li><li>Maintain clear and transparent records of all client interactions</li><li>Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless communication and a cohesive client experience throughout the mortgage application process.</li><li>Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, lawyers, and underwriters throughout the mortgage process.</li></ul><p>Appraisal Ordering and Review:</p><ul><li>Leverage experience working with appraisal management companies such as Solidifi, NAS, and direct ordering of appraisals to ensure efficient appraisal processes.</li><li>Initiate the appraisal ordering process, whether through designated companies or direct methods, and follow up to ensure timely completion.</li><li>Utilize your appraisal review skills to assess appraisal reports for accuracy and compliance with lending guidelines.</li><li>Handle any necessary communication or coordination with appraisers and relevant parties to address appraisal-related issues.</li></ul><p>Fulfillment and Documentation:</p><ul><li>Upon submission for approval, diligently submit all required documentation via the lender's portal or through direct channels as required by the lender's processes.</li><li>Ensure that all conditions, whether specific to the lender's requirements or general funding conditions, are thoroughly reviewed and satisfied to meet funding conditions pre-subject removal.</li><li>For refinances, renewals, or switches, proactively work to ensure that all necessary documentation is in place a minimum of 10 business days before funding to ensure a smooth and timely process.</li><li>Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on any outstanding documents and provide guidance on the information needed.</li><li>Conduct timely follow-ups with clients and relevant parties to ensure the prompt receipt of required documents, contributing to a seamless flow of the mortgage application process.</li></ul><p>Prepare Signing Packages and Client Review:</p><ul><li>Assemble mortgage signing packages accurately and efficiently.</li><li>Ensure that provincial disclosures are prepared in compliance with local regulations.</li><li>Review signing packages with clients to ensure they understand all documents, including provincial disclosures.</li><li>Thoroughly review mortgage commitments and related documents for accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Utilize our signing portal to securely send signing packages and disclosures to clients for their convenience and efficient document handling.</li></ul><p>Compliance Handling:</p><ul><li>Ensure all mortgage applications and documents comply with both regulatory and company policies.</li><li>Stay up to date with industry regulations and make necessary adjustments to processes as needed.</li><li>Submit comprehensive compliance packages for fulfillment, including all required documentation.</li><li>Verify the currency of identification documents provided by applicants.</li><li>Ensure that all necessary disclosures are completed accurately and in accordance with regulatory standards.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Previous experience in mortgage fulfillment and administrative roles is preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of mortgage products and the application process.</li><li>Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and procedures.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.</li><li>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.</li><li>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.</li><li>Proficiency with mortgage processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>High degree of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.</li><li>Familiarity with BLUMortgage , Loom,
