<p><b>The Opportunity:</b></p><p><br></p><p>Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic <b>Director of Information Technology</b> to lead and elevate IT operations across a multi-location business. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic thinking with practical execution, ensuring technology systems, networks, and platforms are secure, reliable, and optimized to drive growth and operational excellence.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a unique opportunity to shape IT strategy, manage complex infrastructure, and implement innovative solutions that enhance security, performance, and user experience across multiple business locations in Canada.</p><p><br></p><p><b>What You'll Be Doing:</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Define and execute the IT roadmap to align technology with business objectives and long-term growth.</li><li>Collaborate with leadership teams to translate strategic goals into actionable IT initiatives.</li><li>Assess existing systems and infrastructure, recommending upgrades, integrations, and modernization opportunities.</li><li>Establish IT governance, policies, and documentation to maintain consistency, accountability, and operational excellence.</li><li>Lead cybersecurity and data protection initiatives to safeguard critical organizational information.</li><li>Oversee the design, deployment, and management of IT infrastructure across multiple locations, including networks, servers, and endpoints.</li><li>Manage both cloud and on-premise solutions, including Azure, AWS, GCP, and hybrid environments.</li><li>Maintain and optimize networking systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and endpoint devices.</li><li>Ensure reliable operation of business-critical software, including ERPs, CRMs, HRIS, and other enterprise applications.</li><li>Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity protocols to protect operations.</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for IT service providers, managed services partners, and software vendors.</li><li>Oversee vendor performance, ensuring adherence to service agreements, compliance, and quality standards.</li><li>Manage IT contracts, renewals, procurement processes, and vendor negotiations to optimize service and cost efficiency.</li><li>Develop, enforce, and monitor cybersecurity policies and protocols to protect organizational data.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable privacy and data protection regulations.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What You'll Need To Be Successful:</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.</li><li>15+ years of progressive IT experience, including infrastructure management, multi-location technology oversight, and vendor coordination.</li><li>Proven experience managing IT across multiple sites or business units.</li><li>Deep technical expertise in networking systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and endpoint management.</li><li>Hands-on experience managing both cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-premise solutions.</li><li>Strong experience with enterprise software, including ERPs, CRMs, HRIS, and other business applications.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business solutions.</li><li>Experience managing IT budgets, technology asset lifecycles, and vendor negotiations.</li><li>Ability to operate both strategically and tactically with a customer-focused mindset.</li><li>Willingness to travel occasionally to support multi-location operations.</li></ul>Create Your Resume First
