Job Description
Diesel / Pump Mechanic – Fire Pump Service Technician
$40–$55/hr | Full-Time | Company Truck | Benefits
If you’re a diesel mechanic, truck tech, heavy equipment tech, or generator technician looking for something new, this is a great transition role. Fire pumps use diesel engines and mechanical systems you already understand—we can teach you the fire-specific portion.
You’ll be installing, inspecting, servicing, and repairing diesel and electric fire pumps at commercial and industrial sites, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and making sure these systems are ready when they’re needed most. Your mechanical experience really matters here—and it’s year-round, steady, Monday to Friday work.
Who fits well in this role?
Anyone with experience on diesel engines, industrial equipment, generators, pumps, or rotating machinery (Cummins, CAT, Detroit, Volvo, etc.). If you’re strong mechanically, you’ll pick this up quickly.
What’s required
A valid G license, clean driving record, solid mechanical background, and willingness to learn. The mechanical part is the hard part—the fire portion is trainable.
What you’ll get
$40–$55/hr depending on experience, overtime, company truck or allowance, health & dental, paid time off, and a steady schedule (8:00–4:30).
Bottom line:
If you enjoy working on diesel engines or mechanical systems, you’re already 80% there. We’ll teach the rest.
We work with you to ensure the job fits what you are looking for. We will also help you build an awesome resume.
