<p><b>Job Title:</b> Communication and Content Specialist</p><p><b>Department:</b> Communications/Social Media/Marketing</p><p><b>Position Type:</b> Full Time</p><p><b>Location: </b> This role is onsite 4 days a week at our office in Burnaby, BC and work from home one day a week (Tuesday). </p><p><b>Compensation</b>: $65K - $70K CAD</p><p><br></p><p><b>Job Summary:</b></p><p>The Communication and Content Specialist will be responsible for crafting compelling content, managing multiple channels, and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive our communication strategy forward.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><p><b>Content and Social Media</b></p><ul><li>Draft and schedule social media posts across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, X (Twitter), and YouTube.</li><li>Maintain and update a multi-channel content calendar for social, blog, email, and internal communications.</li><li>Repurpose longer-form content (e.g., blogs, reports, announcements) into bite-sized, engaging formats.</li><li>Collaborate with the graphic designer to produce visuals (e.g., infographics, short videos, social graphics).</li><li>Monitor trends on social platforms and propose timely and relevant content ideas.</li><li>Keep tabs on competitors' content and share insights with the team.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Internal and External Communications Support</b></p><ul><li>Assist in drafting employee newsletters, internal updates, and technical summaries.</li><li>Support executive and team communications including formatting presentations, talking points, and decks.</li><li>Help draft public-facing content such as press releases, blog posts, and announcements.</li><li>Ensure brand voice and formatting consistency across all written materials.</li><li>Manage distribution through tools like Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Event and Campaign Content Support</b></p><ul><li>Write or edit promotional materials for events, webinars, podcasts, product launches, and more.</li><li>Contribute creative ideas for campaign content such as countdowns, recaps, and follow-up messages.</li><li>Support creation of communication templates (speaker briefs, bios, talking points, etc.).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Organization and Coordination</b></p><ul><li>Maintain a shared content and creative asset library.</li><li>Track content performance metrics (e.g., engagement, clicks, impressions) and highlight insights.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with departments to gather content requirements and updates.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.</li><li>Proven experience in content creation, social media management, and communications support.</li><li>Understanding of social media and digital content trends.</li><li>Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and clarity.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.</li></ul>Create Your Resume First
