As a member of our fleet team, our driver plays an important part in creating a positive client experience with the delivery of our products. Success in this role will be determined by client satisfaction through on time, accurate large volume deliveries of perishable food products throughout the GTA.</p><p>Position overview…</p><ul><li>Daily delivery of large volume perishable food product orders and maintaining a clean organized area.</li><li>Delivering products in a <em>safe</em> and <em>timely fashion</em> (delivery routes will vary from time to time) and maintaining a sense of urgency to all requests by other team members and clients.</li><li>Performing efficient loading practices i.e. check load accuracy, secure loads, and ensures products are on the truck etc.</li><li>Conducting pre-trip inspection and check load security. (Note: Driver will operate a 18' straight truck.)</li><li>Obtaining CODs and verifying and signatures on delivery.</li><li>Maintaining a clean delivery vehicle (interior, exterior, and delivery trolleys).</li><li>Performing daily pre/post shift safety inspections and advises the Supervisor of any concerns or service recommendations.</li><li>Refueling vehicle as required and maintain usage/mileage logs.</li><li>Picking up supplies as requested.</li><li>Adhering to established uniform requirements and maintains a professional image and handles all client interactions in a courteous, customer-oriented manner.</li><li>Providing support to our other food service areas as required.</li><li>Ensuring full compliance with Ministry of Transportation (MOT) Regulations.</li><li>Performing other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>One year truck driving experience (i.e. straight truck); previous food service industry experience is a definite asset.</li><li>Valid and clean Class 5 license with a clean Drivers' Abstract (required).</li><li>Experience with driving straight trucks.</li><li>Customer-focused attitude</li><li>Flexible work schedule: days, evenings, weekends. (Note: Must be flexible and willing to work additional hours when required)</li><li>Must be able to adhere to a rotating continental shift schedule</li><li>Ability to make sound decisions independently and know when to reach out for assistance from your supervisor.</li><li>Well-organized and capable of working with minimal supervision.</li><li>Must practice patience and safety at all times.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 kg.</li><li>Must agree to a criminal background and driver's abstract search.</li><li>Must adhere to Scarlett House's grooming and uniform policies.</li></ul><p>Interested in joining our winning team?
