Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre – Abbotsford, BC

Salary: $42,000–$46,000 per year (DOE) + portion of gratuities

Job Type: Full‑time, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday; occasional evenings/weekends)

About Us

The Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre is the largest conference facility outside Metro Vancouver, offering 24,000 sq. ft. of versatile meeting, event, and tradeshow space, along with 116 well‑appointed guest rooms, including Executive Business Class Rooms and Suites.

We are seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented, and relationship‑driven Catering Sales Coordinator to join our Catering & Events team. This role focuses on supporting the Corporate Market, working directly with clients to plan, organize, and flawlessly execute meetings, trainings, conferences, and business events.

As the Catering Sales Coordinator – Corporate Market, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Catering to deliver exceptional service, enhance client satisfaction, and support revenue growth. You will be an essential point of contact for our corporate clients—providing guidance, recommendations, event detailing, and clear communication across multiple hotel departments.

What You'll Do

  • Respond promptly (within one business day) to all phone, email, and walk-in inquiries from corporate clients.
  • Conduct professional site tours and client meetings to showcase meeting spaces and guest rooms.
  • Plan, upsell, detail, and execute corporate functions, including space requirements, timelines, audiovisual needs, food & beverage selections, and overall event specifications.
  • Prepare documentation including catering contracts, event orders, amendments, and floor plans.
  • Manage deposits, guarantees, and amendments in Caterease with accuracy.
  • Communicate event details with hotel departments through internal meetings and updates.
  • Complete post-event responsibilities including invoicing, follow-up, and rebooking opportunities.
  • Process deposits and final payments and issue receipts.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as daily reader boards, door signs, weekly print packages, and filing.
  • Support the Director of Catering and the Wedding/Socials Coordinator when needed.
  • Be onsite to greet clients at event start times (may include occasional evenings/weekends).
  • Assist with social media updates related to events and hotel marketing initiatives.
