Summary

Van Belle Finished Plants is seeking reliable and professional 5-Ton Truck Drivers to join our team for the upcoming spring season (mid-March to late June). This role is essential in leading the final stage of our supply chain, ensuring the care and professional delivery of our finished plants to customers and vendors across British Columbia.

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and experienced Seasonal 5-Ton Truck Drivers to join our team from mid March to the end of June. This role requires individuals who are safety-conscious, punctual, customer-focused, and team-oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a 5-ton truck to deliver products to customers and vendors.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections before each shift to ensure vehicle safety.
  • Complete delivery paperwork accurately and verify load accuracy.
  • Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues.
  • Collect and safely disassemble empty racks for return to the warehouse.
  • Fuel and clean out trucks at the end of each shift.
  • Must be comfortable driving all over the Lower Mainland, the Island and the Interior. This includes inclement weather on the Coquihalla.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Experience driving a 5-ton truck.
  • Smartphone with data and GPS capability.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • CSA-certified steel-toed boots.
  • Forklift ticket is an asset but not required.

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (3 Months)
