Hours of Work: 40-hour workweek (Tuesday- Saturday 10:00 am to 6:30 pm) or (Sunday to Thursday 10:00am to 6:30pm)
Compensation: $65K–$70K
Program & Location: Fraser Valley

About The Job
The Assistant Manager position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on leadership experience and develop essential skills associated with program management. Working closely with Program Managers and Directors, you will learn how to oversee daily operations, support team development, and contribute to strategic decision-making. This role is designed to build a strong foundation in people management, problem-solving, and operations, making it an ideal stepping stone for individuals aspiring to advance into management positions at Atira. You will ensure your work is conducted in a professional and efficient manner in compliance with Atira's policies and consistent with the mission, vision, values, and philosophy of the Society.
About You

You have a well-developed understanding of and commitment to anti-oppression work and intersectionality. You are familiar with colonialism especially as it applies in Canada and you understand the impact of the residential school system. You are committed to working with women who are struggling with substance use and or mental wellness and understand and are comfortable working within a harm reduction environment. Your definition of woman includes transgender, two spirit and intersex women, and transfeminine individuals. You are sex worker positive. Additional Requisites/Assets
A minimum of three years front-line support work experience in increasingly more senior roles with at least one of those years in a supervisory capacity and experience working with people who are facing multiple forms of oppression including but not limited to violence, abuse, homelessness, poverty, and racism.
A Degree, Diploma or certificate in social work, social services, public health, building management, facilities management or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and skill- based training.
Experience working with clients who are facing multiple forms of oppression including but not limited to violence, abuse, homelessness, poverty and racism.
Must have a valid first aid certificate.
Must have a current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate.
Access to a reliable vehicle while on shift, class 5 drivers license, with two million lability insurance.
Administrative and supervisory experience is required.
