If you're passionate about hospitality and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, we'd love to have you on board!</p><p><br></p><p><b>Job Summary</b></p><p>The Area Hygiene Manager is the "Specialist" on Food Safety working with Regional Heads, and Country teams to drive Food Safety Management System FSMS understanding and implementation of initiatives globally.</p><p><b>The Area Hygiene Manager AHM is:</b></p><p> A self-driven person that will develop an enterprise wide FSMS strategy.</p><p> Execution of task with deep understanding of FSMS matters.</p><p> Disrupting status by looking for new ways to engage all team members around FSMS agenda.</p><p>Creating a collaborative environment where the full diversity of FSMS is shared and embraced by all team members globally in particular Culinary and Food & Beverage and in General Food Handlers</p><p><br></p><p><b>Job Responsibilities</b></p><p> Execute formulated strategy for the company's Food Safety projects.</p><p> Responsible for providing supervision, direction and leadership focusing on Hygiene / Food & Beverage safety.</p><p> Ownership of Hygiene Operating Manual and other relevant documentation.</p><p> Responsible for the Food Safety Management System FSMS program/s.</p><p> Identify and analyses potential hazards and risk areas using ISO 22000 and HACCP methodology.</p><p> Train new business unit Culinary -F&B team members and Food Handler</p><p> Mentor and train all Kitchen and Food & Beverage team members and Food Handlers, in ensuring food safety standards are adhered to in their respective countries.</p><p> Require Traveling within Canada to all BU</p><p> Act as a liaison and advisor with relevant departments and external parties where necessary</p><p> Schedule and conduct FSMS visits per approved schedule.</p><p> Drive the Continuous Improvement Programme with an established and dedicated team that has assisted in the company achieving FSMS.</p><p> Support relevant sites with HACCP accreditation.</p><p> Streamline online training requirements including visitation audits. (Internal & External)</p><p> During visitations to conduct inspections of kitchens, food productions areas, stores, etc as well as observe food handlers and process.</p><p> Issue a visitation report based on the standard checklist of inspection.</p><p> Conducts orientation hygiene training and yearly refresher training for all culinary team members though L&D - PPG Think Platform</p><p> Management and achievement of KPI's, in relation to hygiene efficiencies, microbiological and quality through a continuous improvement approach.</p><p> Understanding of stakeholder management and risk management.</p><p> Act as Process Subject Matter Expert and technical support for all Hygiene related matters.</p><p> Assist and develop corrective actions and compliance by working with business units as necessary.</p><p> Work on development of materials, learning aids & ensuring training is recorded per L&D standards.</p><p> Provides monthly reports on task achieved and recommendations on improvements and development needed.</p><p> Recognizes key performers and mentors under performers to achieve the minimum standards.</p><p> Manage all record keeping with regards to audits and assessments. (Internal & External)</p><p> Management of monthly e-FSMS and Annual External Audit.</p><p> Ensure all locations report on Hygiene Mystery Shoppers, Partnership Audits are reviewed and followed through with the respective business units.</p><p> Prepare documentation to support quality audits for ISO or HACCP for locations if required.</p><p> All Food Bourne Illness must be immediate reported within 24 hours from Country level to Regional Hygiene Manager who will work with the Country level Hygiene PIC.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications needed</b></p><p> Minimum 10 years' management experience in an international chain hotel or Airline Food Catering industry in a Regional or Area role.</p><p> Experienced in ISO 22000, the internationally recognized standard that combines the ISO9001 approach to food safety management and HACCP for the assurance of food safety at all levels.</p><p> Pre-Opening or new project management experience.</p><p> Bachelor's degree in food science and/or Food Technology</p><p> Understanding of HACCP qualification and HACCP experience from implementation to execution</p><p> Possess good online training, on the job training and coaching skills</p><p> Knowledge in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives</p><p> Good command in English verbal and written to meet business needs.</p><p> Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
