Job Summary:

Ainsworth is looking to add on the 3rd Class Power Engineer to the growing Toronto- GTA team. As the 3rd Class Power Engineer, you will conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot mechanical issues as well as perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs. In addition, the 3rd Class Power Engineer will work closely with the VP of Eletromechanical Services to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies are followed along with other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain four (4) 2MW generators, compressors, and other related equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Monitor system controls and adjust parameters to optimize efficiency
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and repairs

Qualifications:

  • Valid Third-Class Power Engineer certificate
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an industrial or plant setting
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends

The pay range is $34.00 - $45.00 per hour. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth’s total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as health insurance, among others.
