Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Electrician or 4th/5th year apprentice with proven experience in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Expertise in the installation of Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, in-depth knowledge of electrical systems and code compliance, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, bend, thread, and mount EMT conduit with precision and code compliance.
  • Plan and execute the layout of wiring systems for residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical diagrams.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain wiring, lighting, and electrical systems across a variety of job sites.
  • Ensure all work adheres to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
  • Test electrical systems and continuity using appropriate testing devices.
  • Coordinate with other trades and contractors on job sites to ensure timely and safe project completion.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order; ensure job site cleanliness and safety.
  • Document work performed and report issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Mentor apprentices or less experienced electricians when needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid 309A License
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work.
  • Proven expertise in EMT conduit installation (including bending and running conduit in complex layouts).
  • Solid understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
  • Experience with a wide range of tools, materials, and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts, and in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 309A License
  • Experience with rigid conduit, MC cable, and other raceway systems.
  • Knowledge of control systems, generators, or industrial automation is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Comfortable with repetitive motion, bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in various environments including outdoor job sites and tight spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Work Location: In person
