Wage/Salary Range: $35.00 – $42.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, with additional hours as required by operational needs
Hours Per Day: 10–12 hours per day

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Water Transfer Technician to join our Valued Clients team in Whitehorse, Yukon. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to safety, reliability, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining water transfer systems to support industrial operations at a mine site.
Responsibilities:
Install, operate, and monitor water transfer pumps, hoses, and associated equipment.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on pumps and transfer lines.
Monitor water levels, flow rates, and system pressures to ensure safe and efficient performance.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and operational issues in the field.
Complete daily field reports and maintenance logs.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and site-specific safety standards.
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
Follow all occupational health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in water transfer, fluid management, or oil and gas/mining field operations.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with pumps, fittings, and small engines.
Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Ability to work long hours in physically demanding outdoor environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Clear communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working at a mine site.
Experience in northern or remote work environments.
Work Environment:
Outdoor work environment at a mine site in and around Whitehorse, Yukon.
Exposure to varying weather conditions, including cold temperatures and rough terrain.
Physically demanding role requiring lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing and walking.
Strict adherence to mine site safety protocols and PPE requirements.
