Warehouse Manager
Job Description
Location: Surrey, BC. Industry: Manufacturing/Distribution. Salary: $70,000-$95,000.
The Role
- With workplace cleanliness and organization in mind, you will work with your team to meet the highest standard of maintenance and housekeeping of the warehouse during its day-to-day operations
- Assign daily work duties to warehouse workers ensuring safety, service and productivity and reliability requirements are met
- Creating a daily schedule of expected inbound and outbound shipments
- Provide training, support and direction to employees to ensure understanding of and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Demonstrate leadership through effective teamwork and a positive attitude
- Organizing & completing monthly cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Constantly looking for ways to improve the distribution and packing process and ensuring the team meets or exceeds quality standards
- Overseeing order processing and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
- Monitor department's performance, prepare reports for senior management, and offer improvements based on the metrics
The Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years hands-on shipping, delivery and receiving experience as well as prior experience in a supervisory/leadership role
- Post-Secondary education is an asset
- Ability to collaborate and motivate within a team environment
- Ability to identify various projects for improving the facilities and related systems
- Knowledge of MS Office applications and experience with ERP systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills along with a sense of urgency and personal accountability
