Job Description
<p>We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI / UX Designer to lead the design and user experience for both our internal intranet and external-facing website. This role will ensure a visually engaging, accessible, and user-friendly digital presence that aligns with best practices and organizational goals.</p><p><br></p><p>This will be 20+/- hours per week, for the next 3-4 months, remote. Starting asap!</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>Develop and implement the look and feel for both the intranet and external website.</p><p>Apply best web design practices to ensure consistency, usability, and performance.</p><p>Collaborate with stakeholders using existing wireframes and templates to guide design decisions.</p><p>Select and adapt templates based on user experience principles and AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) compliance.</p><p>Analyze and incorporate current website analytics to inform design improvements and user flow optimization.</p><p>Lead the migration from the legacy SharePoint platform to a new, modern web platform, ensuring continuity, improved usability, and accessibility.</p><p>Work closely with IT and content owners to ensure a smooth transition and accurate content mapping.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>Proven experience in web design, UX/UI, or digital communications.</p><p>Strong understanding of web standards, responsive design, and accessibility (AODA).</p><p>Experience with SharePoint and web platform migrations.</p><p>Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch) and CMS platforms.</p><p>Ability to interpret wireframes and translate them into functional, engaging designs.</p><p>Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to drive data-informed decisions.</p>
