The Truck Driver will deliver customer orders or pick up merchandise by operating the company vehicles in a safe and expeditious manner. Actively contributes to a positive and productive working environment.

Available Shift: 2pm to 10:30pm (40 hours a week 5 days a week which does include a Saturday and Sunday shifts. Role based in North Saanich, BC)

Hereu2019s where youu2019ll be focusing:

u2022 Pre-inspect truck

u2022 Complete manifest/ log book

u2022 Ensure that the proper documentation is maintained

u2022 Maintain equipment and report any damages, necessary repairs, or malfunctions

u2022 Drive transport truck or straight truck in a safe and respectful manner

u2022 Ensure merchandise loaded in vehicle is stowed in a safe and damage-free manner

u2022 Unload trailer at stores



u2022 Ensure case-count delivered corresponds with order, pick up credit, or damaged product

u2022 Maintain good working relations with customers at all times through cooperative attitude and well-groomed appearance

u2022 Exercise good driving manners and taking precautionary measures during inclement weather conditions

u2022 Follow the instructions outlined in the driver SOP and pay attention to detail

u2022 Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements

u2022 Responsible for all other duties assigned by manager

What you have to offer:

u2022 Accuracy and attention to detail to ensure the case-count delivered corresponds with the order

u2022 A proven track record of superior customer service skills

u2022 Two to three years experience driving a tractor-trailer and/ or straight truck

u2022 High School Graduate

u2022 Class #1 Driveru2019s License

u2022 Retail support centre

u2022 Physical work including frequent bending, lifting, and reaching

u2022 Two person lift required for weights exceeding 50 lbs

u2022 Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

u2022 Possible exposure to extreme temperatures

u2022 Alertness to other people and vehicles

u2022 Various shifts including evenings and weekends
