Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Toiletteuse to join our team. As a Toiletteuse, you will be responsible for grooming and maintaining the appearance of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your expertise in pet grooming techniques and your love for animals will contribute to providing exceptional care to our furry clients.
Responsibilities:
- Groom pets according to client specifications, breed standards, and grooming industry best practices
- Perform bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling of fur
- Trim nails, clean ears, and brush teeth as needed
- Assess the condition of pets' skin and coat, identifying any abnormalities or health concerns
- Provide basic care such as checking for fleas or ticks
- Interact with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and address any specific requests or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during the grooming process
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Toiletteuse or similar role
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
- Proficiency in various grooming techniques such as clipping, scissoring, and hand-stripping
- Excellent understanding of pet behavior and ability to handle animals with care and patience
- Strong attention to detail to achieve precise grooming results
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective communication skills to interact with pet owners and understand their needs
