Eager to help elementary students succeed in all subjects?</p><p><strong>Oxford Learning Academy in Milton</strong> has an opening for a <strong>Primary/Junior and <span >Junior/Intermediate</span> Supply Teachers</strong> to teach classes of approximately 12 students between Grades 1-8. There are five combined classrooms: JK-SK, Grade 1-2, Grade 3-4, Grade 5-6, and Grade 7-8. The qualified supply teacher will be responsible for delivering creative, comprehensive classroom lessons prepared by the homeroom teacher any day of the week from <strong>8:00 am to 3:30 pm</strong>. Reporting to the Principal of the Oxford Learning Academy private school, the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Grades 1-8 curriculum requirements in Ontario. </p><p>The successful candidate is an enthusiastic, articulate, and creative teacher who communicates with ease and confidence. They offer a learning community that allows different learners to thrive and prosper. They are comfortable engaging in innovative and diverse individualized programming. Finally, they are critical thinkers who demonstrate excellent planning skills, emotional intelligence, and exceptional organization skills. </p><p><strong>Position Requirements</strong></p><p>This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.</p><p>We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:</p><p><strong>Education</strong>:</p><ul><li>Ontario Teacher Certification (OCT) with Primary/Junior or <span >Junior/Intermediate</span> Qualifications</li><li>Teaching experience in the Primary, Junior, or Intermediate division</li><li>Additional Qualifications (an asset)</li><li>Work experience in the Independent School environment (an asset)</li><li>Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum</li></ul><p><strong>Experience</strong>:</p><ul><li>Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 8 (or equivalent) level</li><li>Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding</li><li>Ability to multitask and balance working with up to 12 students at a time</li><li>Must be able to commit to supplying until the end of the school year</li><li>Must have experience with Smartboard Technology</li></ul><p><strong>Smiles, High-Fives & Happy Students</strong></p><p>In this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.
