As part of a dedicated municipal team, you’ll contribute to the health and fulfillment of a diverse and active community.</p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><p>Reporting to the Manager, Land & Building Services, the Supervisor, Building Officials leads the City’s building inspection services. This role oversees permit processing, site inspections, code compliance, and enforcement actions. You’ll manage a team of building officials, guide technical reviews, and ensure safety and regulatory standards are met across residential and commercial projects. The position also plays a key role in modernizing permitting processes and supporting departmental improvements.</p><p><b>What You’ll Bring</b></p><p>The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman Certificate in construction or plumbing, BOABC Level 3 certification (or equivalent), and preferably be a Registered Building Official. You’ll bring at least 10 years of progressive experience in building inspection, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
