<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Summer Landscape Technician/Crew Member</strong></p><p><strong><em>Location: <span >Burlington/Oakville,</span> Ontario, Canada </em></strong></p><p><strong>Job Description: </strong></p><p>We are seeking a hardworking and motivated Summer Landscape Technician to join our dynamic landscaping team. This full-time position is focused on providing high-quality garden maintenance and installation services, with the opportunity to learn and develop landscaping skills. As a key part of our team, you’ll support the day-to-day operations, assisting with various landscaping tasks, and contributing to a positive team environment. Whether you're an experienced landscaper or just starting out, we’re excited to help you grow your skills and knowledge in the landscape management field. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> </p><ul><li>Perform garden maintenance tasks including cultivating, weeding, fertilizing, perennial care, and pruning to maintain high-quality standards. </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in early morning team activities, including loading trucks and trailers, watering, and weeding plant inventory. </li></ul><ul><li>Assist in setting up and cleaning up worksites, including sweeping and blowing debris at the end of the day. </li></ul><ul><li>Operate small landscaping equipment such as backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, and other hand tools. </li></ul><ul><li>Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and outdoor containers. </li></ul><ul><li>Assist with garden construction activities such as digging, site preparation, planting, and mulching. </li></ul><ul><li>Work with river rock, lay flagstone, and install armor stone as needed. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with team leaders and supervisors to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met. </li></ul><ul><li>Follow on-site health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates. </li></ul><ul><li>Use job management software (e.g., Jobber) to track time and provide updates as required. </li></ul><ul><li>Continuously learn and expand your landscape maintenance and garden installation knowledge. </li></ul><ul><li>Other duties as assigned to support team goals and client satisfaction. </li></ul><p><strong>Requirements: </strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma (landscape experience or education is an asset but not required). </li></ul><ul><li>Must be physically capable of lifting 40+ pounds, using a wheelbarrow, and performing repetitive tasks. </li></ul><ul><li>Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, from early mornings to late afternoons. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and quality in all aspects of work. </li></ul><ul><li>Team-oriented with a willingness to take direction and collaborate. </li></ul><ul><li>Problem-solving skills to address and resolve on-site issues as they arise. </li></ul><ul><li>Hardworking, self-motivated, and dedicated to continuous improvement. </li></ul><ul><li>Must provide a valid G2 driver’s license and have daily access to personal transportation to get to/from job sites. </li></ul><p><strong>Compensation & Benefits: </strong></p><ul><li>Hourly wage: $18/hour (no experience); $19–$22/hour based on experience. </li></ul></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
