<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Store Manager (Giant Tiger) role at The North West Company. This opportunity involves leading store operations, buying and merchandising decisions, and guiding a team to achieve strong results. We offer a Management Development Program that trains in all areas of the business with the goal of managing a Giant Tiger franchise upon successful completion and relocation availability.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Influence store results, including sales and profit</li><li>Determine the store’s product assortment by buying to meet community needs</li><li>Be actively involved with and connect to the store’s local community</li><li>Lead in a profitable, Canadian-owned company with over 50 years of proven success</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>A passion for customer service and merchandising excellence</li><li>Minimum 3 years’ retail experience in a high-volume, big-box, fast-paced store</li><li>Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a retail environment</li><li>Entrepreneurial spirit and skills</li><li>Strong planning and organizational skills</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and with learning new software</li></ul><h3>Program and Career Path</h3><p>Management Development Program involves working in a store in a supervisory role and training in all areas of the business. Upon successful completion and depending on relocation availability, individuals may be offered the management of a Giant Tiger franchise.</p><h3>Relocation and Regions</h3><p>Candidates must be willing to relocate to multiple markets in the northern regions of Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Quebec, Nunavut, and Northwest Territories.
