<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>We are looking for people interested in learning and developing their careers in light, wood finishing manufacturing company for our client located in <strong>Surrey.</strong></p><p>This is a permanent full-time position with a company that was founded in 1971 and just recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. Our client provides Western Canada with high-quality semi custom cabinets.</p><p>The painter will be responsible for ensuring that all parts are sprayed consistently and high quality in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities will also include identification and discharging of defective products, performing all work in a safe manner, cleaning and maintaining painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and PPE.</p><p><strong>You will:</strong></p><ul><li> Select appropriate paint or mix paints using paint mixing equipment according to a pre-determined formula </li><li> Operate hand-held spray guns to spray paint or coat large items with protective or decorative coatings.</li><li> Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air, and personal protective equipment.</li><li> Mark, record and report defects.</li><li> Clean and perform preparation of work-site.</li><li> Signal equipment and line operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.</li><li> Operate, read, and maintain air monitoring and other sampling devices when working in confined spaces and/or hazardous environments.</li><li> Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.</li></ul><p><p><strong>You have:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.</li><li>Experience in cabinetry is a asset.</li><li>5+ years of experience as a Painter.</li><li>Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.</li><li>Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.</li><li>Effective verbal and listening communications skills.</li><li>Time management skills.</li><li>Critical eye for identifying defects.</li></ul></p></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
