Senior Product Designer

Job Description

<p><strong>Our financial/ insurance client is looking for a Product Designer to join their team. This will be fulltime hours per week, on an ongoing basis (with hopeful conversion to fulltime).</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Your role involves developing UI/UX designs, prototypes, conducting user research, and creating detailed information architecture artifacts. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design intuitive interfaces and innovative data consumption models that drive informed decision-making. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Apply user-centered design principles to create engaging user experiences. </li><li>Develop and refine UI/UX designs, including concepts, prototypes, and data visualizations using Figma. </li><li>Conduct and analyze user research, usability testing, and market research. </li><li>Create detailed information architecture artifacts (site maps, wireframes, workflows, customer journeys). </li><li>Design intuitive interfaces that simplify complex content and processes. </li><li>Develop innovative data consumption models using KPIs and data visualizations. </li><li>Demonstrate strong visual design skills (typography, color theory, layout). </li><li>Participate in agile development processes (concept validation, sprints, stand-ups). </li><li>Communicate design concepts and rationale effectively. </li><li>Collaborate with developers, researchers, and business analysts. </li></ul><p> </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in product design with a strong portfolio. </li><li>Expertise in UI/UX design, including concepts, prototypes, and data visualization. </li><li>Mastery in Figma prototyping. </li><li>Strong background in user research, usability testing, and market research. </li><li>Proficiency in creating detailed IA artifacts. </li><li>Strong visual design skills. </li><li>Experience in agile development processes. </li><li><strong>7+ years of experience in a corporate environment- insurance, financial, healthcare etc.</strong></li></ul>
