Role Summary
The Senior Mental Health Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, engaging, and placing qualified mental health practitioners—including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychotherapists, and Licensed Counsellors—across HavenPoint Health's core clinical services and Independent Medical Examination (IME) programs.
This role is well suited to a results-driven recruiter who brings an established network of mental health professionals or has demonstrated success building one quickly. You will leverage both relationship-based recruiting and advanced sourcing techniques to support a growing, mission-driven organization operating in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting Structure
This role reports to the Director and collaborates closely with senior leadership and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to build a strong and sustainable pipeline of senior mental health practitioners
Partner with leadership to define role requirements, position descriptions, and candidate specifications
Identify, track, and engage prospective candidates using a variety of sourcing channels, including advanced Boolean search techniques
Conduct market and benchmark research on compensation, benefits, and practitioner availability by discipline and seniority
Screen and assess candidates to ensure clinical qualifications, cultural alignment, and role suitabilityPrepare and present detailed candidate shortlists and profile summaries to hiring leaders
Coordinate and manage confidential interviews and complete reference checks
Guide candidates and stakeholders through offer discussions and negotiations through to successful placement
Promote active opportunities through existing professional networks and referral channels
Actively participate in relevant social media groups and professional communities to build talent pipelines
Represent and promote HavenPoint Health's employer brand and employee value proposition at external recruitment and networking events
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of proven experience sourcing and recruiting mental health practitioners in an agency or corporate environment
Demonstrated success recruiting for specialized or hard-to-fill clinical roles
Advanced sourcing expertise, including Boolean search and passive candidate engagement
Hands-on experience with resume databases, sourcing platforms, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Strong communication and persuasion skills, including comfort with proactive outreach
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously
High level of professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity to confidentiality
Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
Successful completion of a criminal record check prior to commencement of employment
Work Environment
Fully remote, virtual team environment
Flexibility and open availability required
Evening and weekend availability may be required periodically to support practitioner and business needs
Compensation
Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications
$80,000-110,000 (total Comp)
