Our client specializes in the design and manufacture of complex engineering systems in the fields of process engineering, mechanical engineering, and instrumentation and controls for nuclear, medical, and renewable energy industries.

About the Role

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with Canadian equivalency, Stamped Mechanical Engineer (P. Eng in Ontario) with knowledge of engineering and project processes.
  • At least 8 years' experience in industry (process/power/nuclear/oil & gas) in design, engineering and project delivery from Mechanical standpoint
  • Expertise in project execution & design delivery experience
  • Extensive experience with design of skid-mounted process piping systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of ASME 831.3/31.1, ASME Sec VIII, CSA 851; familiarity with CSA N285 is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of relevant design &analysis software
  • Experience with hydrogen applications is an asset.
  • Able to produce, review, and approve pressure vessel and piping stress calculations
  • Working knowledge of In-line Instruments. Able to specify, select and order in-line components such as valves, pumps, heat exchangers, heaters, etc.
  • Good knowledge of Quality Assurance as it applies to engineering and manufacturing
  • Knowledge of welding processes.
  • Strong English communication skills and Client interfacing experience
  • Able to write engineering design documentation such as Design Manuals, Design Requirements, Operating and Maintenance Manuals, Design Reports, Safety Reports.
  • "Rotating Equipment" experience; with design or procurement engineering experience in "Liquid Ring Compressors" and technical knowledge for selecting pumps for process gasses.
