Job Title: Senior Enterprise Architect

Location: Edmonton, AB, Canada, T6H 5T6

Work Model: Hybrid – Onsite 3 days a week

Shift: 08:15 to 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday

Employment Type: Temporary, Full‑Time, 12‑month duration

Rate: $100.00 – $115.00 per hour

Must Have Skills/Attributes: Application Architecture, Data Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Risk Analysis, Security, Technology Solutions

Experience Desired: 5 years of experience in components listed (application architecture standards, MDM hub registries, amCharts framework, mobile solutions, OWASP Top Ten Web Application Security Flaws).

Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree

Job Description

Only qualified Senior Enterprise Architect candidates currently located in the Edmonton, Alberta area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional agile product teams, providing architectural direction, and mentoring developers and technical leads (8 Years)


• Experience in architecting, managing, and maintaining technology platforms (5 Years)


• Experience identifying and assessing requirements within multiple architecture domains e.g., business, application, technology, data/information, security, and privacy (8 Years)


• Experience in documenting application architectures in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government (7 Years)


• Experience in planning, designing, implementing, and supporting platform solutions in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government (7 Years)


• Experience providing leadership, planning, estimating, and presentations of ideas and solutions (8 Years)

Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and analysts to design and optimize cloud architecture and services (5 Years)


• Experience in contributing to or developing application architecture standards and guidelines (5 Years)


• Experience working as an application architect designing or maintaining solutions that use enterprise MDM hub architecture registries (5 Years)


• Experience working as an application architect developing a solution using amCharts charting framework in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government (5 Years)


• Experience working as an application architect developing mobile solutions in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government (5 Years)


• Experience working with Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Top Ten Web Application Security Flaws (5 Years)

Job Duties

• Develop and maintain Enterprise Architecture (EA) Frameworks


• Align technology with business strategy


• Assess current state architecture and create target state architectures


• Guide large‑scale transformation projects


• Set standards, principles, and governance


• Evaluate and recommend technologies


• Collaborate with stakeholders


• Model business processes and capabilities


• Risk and security management


• Support solution architects and engineering teams


• Cost optimization and technical debt management
