<p>Based in Brampton, Sudbury, North Bay, Thompson, St John, or Thunder Bay, you will be part of our mining team.</p>
<p><strong>What a day at EXP has in store for you</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead, supervise, and mentor electrical designer staff.</li>
<li>Design power, PLC automation, instrumentation, and control systems.</li>
<li>Oversee development of design concepts and ensure proper application.</li>
<li>Verify work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, and drawings.</li>
<li>Mentor and encourage staff development.</li>
<li>Apply EXP’s risk management practices in electrical engineering.</li>
<li>Lead design teams to produce engineering/construction documents within schedule and budget.</li>
<li>Understand engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts for discipline engineering.</li>
<li>Encourage collaboration for optimal solutions.</li>
<li>Manage work plans and deliverables across multiple projects.</li>
<li>Write studies and reports on electrical systems.</li>
<li>Execute complex electrical designs with conflicting requirements.</li>
<li>Perform front-end loading of electrical systems.</li> <li>Contribute to revisions of EXP’s design standards.</li>
<li>Evaluate cost-saving and risk items through Value Engineering.</li>
<li>Develop basis of design narratives.</li>
<li>Design high, medium, and low voltage AC and DC systems.</li>
<li>Design protection and control systems.</li>
<li>Develop electrical one-lines, load lists, and classifications.</li>
<li>Participate in safety reviews such as HAZOP and PHA.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What Your Experience Looks Like</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.</li>
<li>Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.</li>
<li>At least 10 years of experience in the mining industry.</li>
</ul>
