We are on the lookout for a skilled Senior – Data Scientist to revolutionize our cutting-edge Data Science and Big Data platform, developing an expanding suite of Managed Data Science Services across diverse industries.
Your Responsibilities
As a pivotal part of our team, you will support AI and Machine Learning opportunities within client portfolios. Your responsibilities include building, validating, deploying, and monitoring advanced descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive machine learning models, including solutions such as Sentiment Analysis, Text Mining, Digital Analytics, Customer Segmentation, Customer Acquisition, Churn Management, and the latest NLP and Generative AI solutions. You will:
- Partner with clients to understand and anticipate needs and guide them toward AI/ML solutions that deliver short-term wins and identify long-term opportunities for managed data science services.
- Analyze client data to identify optimization opportunities across functions such as product development, marketing, supply chains, operations, manufacturing, and R&D.
- Leverage commercial and open-source AI/ML tools, Big Data ecosystem tools, BI/Visualization/Discovery tools to deliver advanced models and other Data Science solutions. Tools may include SAS stack, R, Python, Scala, Java, Spark, Data Science Notebooks/Workbenches, Azure ML, PowerBI, Datameer, among others.
- Monitor and fine-tune model performance, manage champion/challenger models for optimal performance and resource use.
- Ensure models are packaged and documented for deployment; participate in client training and knowledge transfer as required.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, and data governance requirements as outlined by KPI and client guidelines, including data anonymization, encryption, and security in transit and at rest.
- Apply CI/CD and DevOps practices (e.g., Git, Jira, Jenkins) to deliver and support advanced Data Science and Big Data solutions.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert and Thought Leader, keeping up with industry trends and developments, and contributing papers or presentations when appropriate.
- Be open to presenting KPI’s view at major industry conferences and events.
To Qualify For The Role, You Must Have
- A degree in AI, Machine Learning, Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience building predictive ML/AI models for Customer Experience, Journey analytics, Segmentation, Churn modeling, Lookalike Modeling, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in various ML techniques and their practical trade-offs.
- 3+ years of Text Mining and NLP experience.
- Experience with languages such as Python, R, SAS, Java, C++, SPSS, MATLAB.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers.
- Strong understanding of the Predictive Modeling Lifecycle, feature engineering, model development and tuning, validation, deployment packaging, management, and performance monitoring.
- Experience leading teams of Junior and Senior Data Scientists.
- Proficiency with Open-source AI/ML/Data Science tools and Spark, including notebooks (Zeppelin, Jupyter) and data science workbenches (Azure, DSX).
- Expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Langchain and related orchestration tools.
- Experience querying databases and using statistical programming languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.).
- Data Scientist certification or equivalent production experience with Azure, Hadoop, Spark, etc.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in AI/ML, Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience consulting in the Manufacturing sector on Data Science projects is a plus.
- Experience with Deep Learning on CPUs and GPUs is a plus.
- Experience with Azure Machine Learning is a plus.
- Experience with Text Mining and Sentiment Analysis is a plus.
- Bilingual English and French preferred.
- Experience with MLOps pipelines and frameworks (Kubeflow, MLFlow, etc.) is a plus.
