<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Senior Civil Engineer, Water and Sewage Systems – Campbell River, BC. J.E. Anderson & Associates is looking for a full-time Senior Civil Engineer based in Campbell River.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Co-leading day-to-day operations of the Campbell River office alongside a professional surveyor</li><li>Designing sewage and water systems, including community-scale and advanced treatment systems</li><li>Managing land development projects including rural subdivisions, site servicing, and frontage improvements</li><li>Leading project proposals, cost estimates, reports, and scheduling</li><li>Supporting and mentoring junior engineers, EITs, and technical staff</li><li>Collaborating with teams in Nanaimo, Parksville, and Victoria on multidisciplinary projects</li><li>Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure quality project delivery</li><li>Contributing to client relationship development and business growth initiatives</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Professional Civil Engineer in good standing with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC), or eligible for registration, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience designing sewage and water systems</li><li>Team leadership and/or project management experience</li><li>Valid driver’s license and clean driving record</li><li>Ability to travel occasionally between office locations on Vancouver Island</li></ul><h3>Preferred skills</h3><ul><li>Experience designing community-scale sewage, water, and advanced treatment systems</li><li>Familiarity with land development and infrastructure projects including subdivisions, site servicing, and frontage works</li><li>Proficiency in Civil 3D and other engineering design tools</li><li>Strong knowledge of BC land development standards and regulatory processes</li><li>Ability to prepare proposals, budgets, schedules, and technical reports</li><li>Ability to guide and support junior engineers or technical staff</li><li>Experience working with clients, contractors, and approving authorities</li><li>Solid time management, communication, and interpersonal skills</li></ul><h3>About the Benefits</h3><ul><li>Competitive hourly wage of $60 to $75 per hour, depending on experience, with approximately 40 hours per week</li><li>Extended health, dental, and vision coverage</li><li>Paid vacation, overtime pay, sick time, and statutory holidays</li><li>Company performance bonuses</li><li>Company cell phone plan</li><li>Vehicle allowance or access to a company vehicle for work-related travel</li><li>Relocation allowance for the right candidate</li><li>Paid continuing education</li><li>Potential entry into J.E.
