<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><b>Job Description:</b><br><br><b>Position Overview</b>:<br />The Buyer/ Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. This role will involve supplier quality management, contract negotiation, cost control and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet operational and strategic goals.<br><br><b>Qualifications:</b><ul><li>Bilingual in Mandarin is a definite asset.</li><li>Must have purchasing experience and be able to read manufacturing drawings.</li><li>Knowledge of SAP is an asset.</li><li>Formal college or university education.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing suppliers, performance and developing long-term relationships.</li><li>Experience in Metal fabrication, surface finishes, and custom manufacturing environment.</li><li>Highly organized, creative and self-motivated.</li><li>Excellent verbal and communication skills.</li></ul><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><ul><li>Prepare and execute RFQs/RFPs.</li><li>Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet quality, cost, and the delivery objectives.</li><li>Collaborate with internal departments such as Production, Engineering, Quality Control, and Finance to align purchasing strategies with operational needs.</li><li>Negotiate contacts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.</li><li>Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.</li><li>Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Perform daily reviews of purchase requests and the inventory management system, ensuring purchase orders are issued in a timely manner.</li><li>Ensure all activities comply with company policies, established purchasing processes, and quality management workflows.</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul></p>#AMICOAA</p></p>
