Don’t miss an opportunity to further your career and have a positive impact on your community.</p><p><b>Your Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Review design documents, shop drawings, and trade submittals prepared by third parties for conformance with good building practice with respect to water intrusion, air leakage, vapor diffusion, thermal performance, and differential movement</li><li>Undertake field review of both new construction and rehabilitation projects to confirm that the construction of the building envelope assemblies is proceeding in accordance with approved mock-ups and design documents</li><li>Prepare site visit reports and use this database to generate Action Lists of outstanding deficiencies and track their resolution</li><li>Undertake field testing of selected elements of building envelope assemblies to confirm compliance with specified performance standards and prepare reports outlining the results of these tests</li><li>Interface with architects, general contractors, and sub-trades</li><li>Contribute to Building Envelope design and construction document development</li><li>Perform forensic analysis of building envelope failures</li><li>Conduct presentations to competing interests including working with legal professionals, contractors, and consultants</li><li>Assist in fieldwork associated with the assessment of existing buildings and the preparation of building envelope assessment report</li></ul><p><b>Your Capabilities and Credentials</b></p><ul><li>Strong understanding of advanced flashing, waterproofing, roofing, cladding, rain screens, air barriers, and other related systems</li><li>Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office</li><li>Knowledge of Bluebeam, CAD and/or Revit, Sketchup, and BIM 360 is a plus</li><li>Project Management skills necessary for concurrent multiple projects</li><li>Practical knowledge of energy code, rain screen principles, air barriers, and thermal performance</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a strong customer service commitment</li></ul><p><b>Education and Experience</b></p><ul><li>Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Science, with a background in Building Science</li><li>Minimum 10 years of experience in assessing, detailing, testing, and/or constructing building envelope systems</li></ul><p>This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice. The final compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
